Through our relationship with Jesus Christ, we desire to be a place of REFUGE where everyone can be REAL, engage in genuine RELATIONSHIPS and be RESTORED to the glory of Jesus Christ our Lord.

• A Place of Refuge – for those in transition and those looking for a new start.

• A Place to be Real – accepting who you are, no matter your past and no matter your ethnicity, culture, social, or economic standing.

• A Place of Relationship – a place to belong, to be part of a community and to be a part of a family…our family.

• A Place of Restoration – through transformational discipleship, we strive for more of Him becoming more in me. 

It is the mission of New People’s Church of New York to see the GLORY, GRACE, and POWER of God embodied in the lives of all who call this church their home and in our community at large. 

In that pursuit, we build upon six key pillars to guide our growth.

1. Biblical Preaching and Teaching: We believe in the inerrant, unaltered word of God, which is the foundation of all beliefs in our church. We reinforce these teachings through the preaching of the Word and by critically studying the Bible together.

2. Passionate Worship: We believe freedom in worship leads to an intimate and personal relationship with our God. It is the sustaining power that provides overflowing peace and joy in all circumstances. Passionate worship is the gateway to loving God and loving His people.

3. Powerful Prayer: We believe in the powerful act of prayer, which provides a vital and undeniable connection to God – one that leads to healing, renewal, and making the impossible possible.

4. Transformational Discipleship: We are called to be dedicated Disciples of Jesus Christ. As disciples, our desire is to be guided by the life and teachings of Jesus Christ and become more like Him.

5. Authentic Fellowship: We believe that our faith is developed and strengthened by intentionally living and learning in community and wholeheartedly accepting our brothers and sisters in Christ. As disciples, we are not asked to walk alone but encouraged to share every part of our lives with each other.

6. Commitment to Outreach: We believe God’s life-changing love is not meant to be kept a secret! It is meant to reach each person, specifically by bringing God’s love outside the four walls of the church through our lives, words, and actions. Our outreach efforts seek to break through the barriers that hinder people from knowing their true Father.

At NPC, we strive to be a place where it is impossible not to grow.

Pastor Eugene and Teri 

Pastor Eugene has been active in Christian service for over 20 years, ranging from Worship Ministry to youth, young adult, and adult Bible studies. God has nurtured within him a true passion for people of all ages, backgrounds, ethnicities and walks of life. 

As the English Ministry pastor at NPC, Pastor Eugene desires to show God’s love by serving the different needs of the church and the community. 

In 2021, Pastor Eugene was called to go into pastoral ministry and is currently pursuing his Masters of Divinity at Gordon Conwell Seminary. He is bi-vocational, working full-time while serving the church. 

He has been married to his beautiful wife, Teri, for over 20 years and has 4 children—Taylor, Alexis (who is now with the Lord), Brooke, and Samuel. 

In order to grow in faith and walk in the liberty and power that Christ has given to each believer, he believes that we must be steadfast in our “Christ” identity, grounded in God’s Word, saturated in prayer, and filled with His Spirit. We are to walk in holiness and endure with His power manifested in our living, our purpose, and our gifts.
